New website for conductor JAMES GAFFIGAN is now online at jamesgaffigan.com. This week you will find James closing out Luzerner Sinfonieorchester’s season, where he is Chief Conductor, with violinist Christian Tetzlaff (June 19, 20), then he returns the San Francisco Opera to conduct the rest of the Carmen run (closes June 29).

Gaffigan has been described by The New York Times as “one of the rising stars of his generation”. He’s equally at home in both opera and symphony arenas. His 2019/20 season features re-invitations to the Chicago, San Francisco and Detroit Symphony Orchestras, Orchestre national de France and Czech Philharmonic, as well as debuts with Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Orchestra.

He undertakes four major opera productions in the United States including La Cenerentola at The Metropolitan Opera in New York, Ernani at SFOpera, Don Giovanni at Lyric Opera of Chicago and Tristan and Isolde at Santa Fe Opera. Designed by Elizabeth Bowman
